French Bistro Cooking has a lot of great recipes, with recipe names in both french and english, which is a nice touch. The recipes are authentic. In France, recipes are either very spartan, the main ingredients are the only seasoning, or they are very complicated with many ingredients. This book has both, and all recipes are delicious. It also contains tips on such things as how to debone a chicken (with several photographs) and prepare the perfect vinaigrette. The majority of the recipes are photographed, and there are little tidbits into french culture and life.
